YNOT Summit Panel Addresses Fundamentals of Affiliate Marketing
On the first day of the recent virtual YNOT Summit, a panel of veteran adult industry marketing experts tackled the fundamentals of affiliate marketing in a one-hour session that’s well worth the time for anyone in search of a good primer on the subject.
The discussion was led by Todd Yanks of YanksVR.com and featured feedback from Max Bergeron of CrakRevenue, Jeff Wilson of Flirt4Free, Model and Affiliate Minnie C. Riley and YNOT’s own Richard Buss.
After briefly introducing themselves and talking about their companies and history in the industry, the panel took on the question of what a newcomer should do in the first 90 days of life as an affiliate marketer – a process that Wilson advised should begin with research, rather than simply jumping into things with both feet and signing up for accounts on affiliate programs right and left.
“If you come in Day 1 and you’re just thinking ‘how do I turn these eyeballs into money?’ and you’re just trying to scoop up a bunch of eyeballs, you’re going to kind of lack that foundation” that advance research and planning offers.
This sort of commonsense approach, which helps narrow what can look like one massive, overwhelming task of diving into affiliate marketing into a series of less daunting steps in a process, typifies the discussion. You can watch the panel’s full conversation below, or on YouTube here.
