YNOT Grand Prix: ‘Other Sports Require Only One Ball’
YNOT – In the wide world of competitive sports, the players who show no mercy are the ones who rise to the top. That, observers say, is what makes the YNOT Grand Prix a not-to-be-missed, thrill-a-minute ride.
“All the top drivers are difficult people with complex personalities,” said Walter, one of the organizers of The European Summit. “I wouldn’t go so far as to say nice guys finish last, but the best YNOT Grand Prix drivers are driven, motivated, pushy, won’t-accept-second-best, immensely competitive people. That’s what makes them so good — because they’re ruthless.
“Unlike the YNOT Grand Prix race, golf, football and soccer require only one ball,” he added.
The adult industry’s championship kart-racing series, now in its fourth international season, will make its next pit stop March 1 in Barcelona during The European Summit’s spring conference. Presented by 2000Charge, the race will take place on the Scratch Indoor Karting Penedès track, renowned for its professionally designed, complex 680-meter course replete with tunnels, bridges and switchbacks. Complimentary transportation to and from the event will be provided for all racers and spectators, as will trackside food and beverages.
“The 2000Charge YNOT Grand Prix has evolved to become the highlight of our hospitality day at The European Summit,” said TES co-coordinator Andreas Bischoff. “We feel very honored that LAJ and the YNOT staff have decided to host their 2013 European events in combination with our conferences for the fourth year in a row.
“I still remember the first race in 2010 with only some 30 drivers,” Bischoff continued. “Since then The European Summit has doubled its number of attendees, and so has the YNOT Grand Prix. Of all the entertainment and bonding events we have hosted in the past — golf, indoor skydiving, soccer, etc. — the YNOT Grand Prix has always been the one event that our attendees are most interested in. We are looking very much forward to continuing this mutually fruitful partnership for many more years to come.”
YNOT Vice President LAJ, who manhandles the YGP events into organized chaos, indicated he’s looking forward to seeing for himself just how tough the much-ballyhooed European drivers in Barcelona are.
“I’m excited to be attending TES Barcelona for my first time,” he said. “After [YNOT President] Connor [Young] went to the last few, I’ve always heard that the Barcelona karting tracks are some of the world’s best. And with the huge support that Andreas and Walter provide, I’m confident this year will be another flawless YNOT Grand Prix.”
