YNOT Grand Prix Heads To AWSummit For Third Race Of 2018
MAMAIA, Romania – With the four-leg YNOT Grand Prix halfway complete, the event heads to the AWSummit in Mamaia, Romania, for another exciting run on Tuesday, June 5. The race will be held at Tomis Kart, the same outstanding track which hosted a wildly successful run of the YNOT GP last year.
“I’m looking forward to another day of good, competitive racing – and more importantly, of big fun for everyone who participates, whether they’re contenders or not,” said YNOT co-owner Jay Kopita. “Last year’s leg at AWSummit was fantastic and I’m anticipating more of the same this year.”
Heading into the third leg, two drivers – Augustin of Gombio and Chris Alex of Way3 – are tied for first place in the overall points race, with 10 points each for their first-place finishes in at TES Lesbon and The Phoenix Forum, respectively. With all other drivers at 8 points or less so far, the GP grand prize of $1000 cash is still very much in play for all contestants.
Under the YNOT GP point system, a first-place finish yields 10 points, second receives 8 points, third receives 6 points, fourth through sixth place finishers get 4 points each and seventh place through the remaining “death match” field which completes the final race get three points each. The participant with the highest point total will be awarded the grand prize following the final race of the season at TES Prague.
As with every YNOT GP event, transportation to and from the race, food and refreshments will all be provided to race contestants and spectators free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the YNOT GP sponsors, AWSummit, JuicyAds, BongaCash, Studio 20 and Online IPS. Buses will begin running between the AWSummit venue hotel and the track at 1pm local time.
