YNOT Cam Awards to Include Virtual Red Carpet, At-Home Viewing Party
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – The YNOT Cam Awards are coming to Hollywood on October 14, but for those who are unable to attend, there will be an opportunity to participate virtually and celebrate the occasion from the comfort of their own homes.
Embracing a hybrid format reflective of the current climate, YNOT Cam Awards will have a pre-show virtual red carpet and ‘post-carpet’ e-party in sync with the live streamed award show. The event will feature interviews with nominees who are unable to attend the festivities in Hollywood.
“SexWorkCEO was so impressed that YNOT maintained having a virtual presence despite returning to in person events this year,” said MelRose Michaels, the Founder of SexWork CEO. “It really aligns with our own goals and vision to keep sex workers first in decision making. We hope more conventions and award shows continue maintaining a virtual option as we return to more events in 2022. The difference it will make in strengthening our community will be immeasurable.”
Two Girls One Mic podcaster and YNOT Cam Awards 2021 Host Kate Kennedy added that she’s “thrilled to hear that the YNOT Awards experience will be available virtually.”
“It is so important to retain virtual access to our community and allow opportunities for us to come together and support one another, regardless of physical location,” Kennedy added.
Aerie Saunders, the owner and operator of Webcam Startup, also expressed her appreciation for the virtual decision.
“Making events virtually accessible is not only beneficial during the pandemic but also as an all-around benefit for models potentially impacted by disabilities or financial hardships that could cause them to miss out on the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments,” Saunders said. “Going virtual is a necessity in 2021 and beyond.”
The virtual red carpet will be hosted by Carly David of adult marketing firm PS: Group and goes live at 4:00pm Pacific/7:00pm Eastern on October 14, to celebrate nominees before the in-person event kicks off with a live stream directly on the YNOT Cam Awards website. The virtual event will take a “watch party” break to view the YNOT Cam Awards red carpet, switching back on during the live awards stream for more interviews, group commentary, games and special announcements.
