YNOT Cam Awards Return to Hollywood July 22
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – The YNOT Cam Awards will return to Hollywood, California on Wednesday, July 22 at the historic Avalon Hollywood, YNOT announced today. YNOT’s annual award show will once again take place in the heart of downtown Hollywood, honoring the biggest stars from the live webcam and custom clips sectors of the adult entertainment industry.
The evening will include the “3rd Annual YNOT Cam Awards” stage show, the “YNOT Red Carpet Event” on Vine Street, as well as pre-show entertainment, VIP dinner and refreshments, and the “YNOT After Awards” party for industry and press only.
“YNOT has tremendous affection for the women and men in the webcam and clips sectors of the adult entertainment industry, and we are honored to put on this show every year to highlight their amazing and important work,” said Connor Young, CEO of YNOT. “Past participants will tell you there is no other award show quite like this one, and that’s because it’s a labor of love for all of us here at YNOT.”
Young said one of the goals of the YNOT Cam Awards is to highlight the positive impact that webcam networks and custom clips marketplaces have had on the adult industry. Performers on these interactive platforms often work only for themselves, set their own hours, and maintain full creative control over their live cam shows and video clips, but misconceptions about the industry and its performers are common.
“It’s a tremendous feeling watching everyone have such a good time in Hollywood, you have to experience it to understand,” Young added. “The women and men who work on camera, and sometimes those who work on the sidelines too, deal with regular mistreatment and shaming from mainstream industries, misguided politicians, and even occasionally from people claiming to be their ‘fans.’ But inside the industry, it’s very much a close community, like a family at times, and it’s our performers who drive that culture. This night is all about celebrating them.”
One of the ways the YNOT Cam Awards distinguished itself was by opening many of its categories to performers of all genders, letting cis and trans women and men compete together in many different categories. The categories themselves do not reduce performers to body parts, ethnic stereotypes or sex acts, but instead focus on the unique talents, personalities, and creativity of the nominees.
The nominee suggestion period for YNOT Cam Awards 2020 will open in May, with voting scheduled for June through early July.
