YNOT Cam Awards Returns to Hollywood in August 2019
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – YNOT Events has announced that the YNOT Cam Awards will return to Avalon Hollywood on August 7th, 2019, the same venue which hosted last year’s inaugural edition of the awards. As with last year’s event, the show’s in-person audience will be industry-only, with full dinner service, open bar and pre-show entertainment provided for its VIP guests.
The show, including its Red Carpet affair on Vine Street, will again broadcast live from the heart of Hollywood. The live stream will be free of charge for webcam fans, performers and industry professionals around the world.
“The YNOT Cam Awards was created as a celebration of adult interactive performers and the incredible work they do on live cam networks and custom clips platforms,” said Connor Young, CEO of YNOT. “The mission of the YNOT Cam Awards is to honor their tireless work and to raise awareness of the amazing and positive ways that interactive technologies are changing the modern adult entertainment business. We think the Avalon is the perfect venue for an event of this caliber and we’re thrilled to be back in Hollywood, the heart of the entertainment industry.”
Young said the 2019 awards aim to build on last year’s well-received debut, when more than 95 cam and clips performers competed for top honors in 19 award categories. The inaugural show was also live-streamed globally and featured the pre-show Red Carpet walk, full dinner and open bar for VIP guests, memorable performances by comedians Kelsey Cook and Sammy Obeid, and the awards show itself, hosted by cam crossover star Shawna Leneé.
The inaugural YNOT Cam Awards also broke new ground by opening up many of its categories to performers of all genders, letting cis and trans women and men compete together.
Young said the categories for the YNOT Cam Awards “are designed to challenge old stereotypes about adult entertainment” and “never built around outdated clichés that reduce models to body parts, ethnic stereotypes or sex acts, but instead focus on the unique talents, personalities, skills and creativities of our industry’s performers.”
“Last year our team had only a vision, so it was an immense thrill to see that vision come to life on stage at the Avalon for the very first time,” Young added. “The YNOT team wanted to produce a show that would put cam and clips performers directly in the spotlight, to recognize the importance of what they do, and to leave everyone in the audience feeling respected and appreciated. Where our industry often focuses on its traditional video stars, we felt it was time to also properly recognize the cams and clips stars whose popularity has been growing significantly with fans of online adult entertainment. Seeing everyone have such a great time in Hollywood was truly rewarding for our entire team and we can’t wait to do it again.”
The nominee suggestion period for YNOT Cam Awards 2019 will open in May, with voting scheduled for mid-June through late July.
