Webmasters See Red Thanks to SunnyDollars
CYBERSPACE — They call him Mr. Red. Perhaps they should call him Mr. Moneybags instead. He arrived on the scene in 1999, while the computer world trembled before the specter of Y2K. With offices in both Europe and the United States, it’s a safe bet that his cyber empire did not crumble into dust when the clock ticked into the new millennium. In fact, the aught years have been very kind to Red and the entire Sunny Dollars affiliate program crew.
According to “the face of Sunny Dollars on the boards and at the shows and Mr. Red’s right hand gal” HoneLynn (pronounced “Honey Lynn”), the naughty aughties have also been kind to the Sunny Dollars webmasters.
“We realize the important role the webmasters who promote us play and we do our best to keep them happy,” she explains. “If we have a choice of spending thousands of dollars on some marketing tactic or placing that money back into the pockets of our webmasters, we like to opt for the latter.”
Opting for the latter appears to be working, because Mr. Red and Sunny Dollars received the 4th annual XBiz Award for Up and Coming Affiliate Program. This is an encouraging sign given that HoneLynn says the company wants “to become a player in the adult market.”
HoneLynn, also known as the director of marketing and webmaster relations for SunnyDollars.com, points out that 2006 “has really been the year to shine.” In addition to the XBiz award, the company launched a new look and added a large number of sites to its already extensive niche catalogue, which is rapidly moving toward its own century mark worth of websites. Among that number are “$10 Sites, Regular Sites, Movie Sites, Porn Movie Collection, and our new Exclusive Sites,” that pay between $20 to $35 per-sign-up or 60-percent recurring on some sites – and an impressive $250 webmaster referral program.
With money like that in the mix, it’s nice to know that the checks really are in the mail. HoneLynn exudes confidence when she demonstrates how SunnyDollars’ award winning program make sure affiliate members are happy.
“Payments on time and great webmaster tools are just two of the ways we try to keep a smile on our webmasters’ faces. Promos with some real neat prizes such as iPods and flat panel monitors, plus our Cash Bonus days are other ways.”
Currently, webmasters associated with the Sunny Dollars Porn Movie Collection site, which updates four times a day, and Tranny Perverts site are among the happiest of all.
“Any of our webmasters can log into their account and see the top ten converting sites, along with the average ratios and which tours are converting the best at any time,” HoneLynn reminds.
When HoneLynn speaks, it might be wise to listen because her experience in the industry is unique. She started out in 1998 with her own amateur solo girl site, which she was responsible for from start to finish. In 2003 she was ready to move away from the front of the camera and was offered a position as photographer for Lightspeed. She came on board, bringing Cole Montana along as the other half of her photographic team. After that, she worked as affiliate manager for Blazing Bucks, and as a sales representative and Xobile research team member for AEBN. In 2005, Sunny Dollars discovered her and a series of emails from Mr. Red convinced her to leave a job she enjoyed – and she has “not once, not ever, regretted my decision.”
In addition to loving the perfect fit of the Sunny Dollars team, HoneLynn loves the work sense of camaraderie she’s found not only within the company, but within the online adult industry in general. As she sees it, “This industry holds such a diverse group of people, from all walks of life. We work hard, play hard, love each other, get pissed at each other, shake hands, and do business. I like the fact that this is an industry that allows me the freedom to work remotely from home. I like that this is one of the few industries left where anyone, even those without a degree, can make money if they work hard and smart enough.”
What she doesn’t like is the lack of understanding and acceptance of the industry that drives the mainstream world to set up or threaten so many “roadblocks and setbacks.”
While the mainstream figures out what it thinks about a branch of entertainment that its members finance even if many do so covertly, Sunny Dollars continues to improve, expand, and grow. Although Mr. Red will be unable to attend the upcoming Phoenix Forum and Cybernet Expos, HoneLynn will be there to represent his pop-up free affiliate favorite, her red-streaked hair complimenting his carrot top. “Look for me at the pool,” she advises. “I will be the one dressing anyone that falls asleep or passes out in Sunny Dollars apparel.”
