Washington DC is U.S. Porn-watching Capital

YNOT – This could explain why nothing worthwhile ever seems to be accomplished in the U.S. capital: According to a survey of adult tube site Pornhub’s server logs, residents of Washington DC watch far more porn than residents of any other state in the union.
According to a report at BuzzFeed, DCers watched an average of 14.18 adult videos per person in 2012. The figure nearly doubles Massachusetts’ second-place ranking on the list. In the latter state, residents watched an average of 7.52 adult videos per person per year.
Other top porn-watching states included New York, where residents watched an average of 7.50 adult videos apiece; New Jersey, where each resident watched an average of 7.21 videos; New Hampshire, where the average per person was 7.06 adult videos; Connecticut, where the average was 7.03 adult videos per person, and Maryland, where residents clocked in with 6.67 adult videos per person last year.
Maybe the weather is to blame. Winters are cold up there.
Surprisingly, San Francisco didn’t make the list, even though the city’s libraries began accommodating porn watchers by installing privacy screens around computer terminals in July.
Another curious tidbit pointed out by the survey: Online porn-watching slows down on holidays. Pornhub’s logs indicated traffic slowed way down on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve and Independence Day in 2012.
According to Alexa.com, Pornhub is the 41st most popular website in the U.S. The site received 12.82 million visitors in December. For 2012, the site’s five most-popular niches, in order, were teen, lesbian, MILF, amateur and ebony.
