Voyeur-Cam Site Seeks Testers for Private Beta
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. – A leading webcam platform has opened a private beta for a new voyeur-cam network that offers a viewer-based revenue model to webcam performers, studios and affiliates.
HiddenCams.com, developed by Flirt4Free, targets the voyeur market by doing exactly what its name implies: capturing the candid lives of performers via cams hidden around their homes. The concept isn’t new — so-called “voyeur houses” have been around since the late 1990s — but HiddenCams’s presentation and revenue model are intriguingly different.
Instead of charging by the minute for private shows and encouraging fans to tip performers they really like, HiddenCams adds a new dimension to the industry by providing the site free of charge. Advertising pays the bills, and performers are commensurated based on the popularity of their video streams.
The site is the product of months of discussions between Flirt4Free and performers who broadcast over the network. According to F4F Vice President Brad Estes, performers are excited by the simple setup process and the potential to reach new fans. In addition, HiddenCams may help webcam models make money even when they’re not available for live chats.
“We’ve had numerous performers and studios come to us over the years looking for a way to increase their exposure and revenue opportunities when not online,” Estes said. “With HiddenCams.com we are creating a new niche in the cam market that can easily extend the earning potential of all webcam performers.”
The voyeur-cams system allows performers to set up cameras at their own discretion and manage which cameras are streaming when. Each performer will receive a vanity URL he or she can promote on social media, and links between HiddenCams and Flirt4Free will drive traffic to both of a performer’s presences.
“We are always looking for new and innovative ways to meet the demand of the market and offer performers alternative revenue streams,” said Flirt4Free President Gregory Clayman. “We are confident that HiddenCams.com will be one of those ways.”
Performers and studios interested in participating in the private beta will find a sign-up form on the website’s homepage.
