Virginia Republicans Get Down & Dirty
This past week Virginia Republicans took it up a notch to win the gold medal in dirty politics.
And by “dirty” I mean despicable.
This time they’ve attacked their competition – democrat Susanna Gibson who is running for a seat in Virginia’s house of delegates outside Richmond – for having done online sex videos for tips with her hubby.
The clincher is they’ve gone after her in a particularly nasty and brilliant way.
As reported on by The Hill, these yahoos have sunk to an all-time low by sending out envelopes to their constituents marked XXX “with a warning label that says ‘explicit material’ and to ‘not open if you are under the age of 18.’ The return address in the corner lists ‘Paid for by the Republican Party of Virginia.”
Inside this juicy missive are screenshots and quotes of said videos of Gibson getting it on thereby “proving” to voters that because she happens to have sex (like the rest of the world) and dared to stream it (which last time I checked is legal) that she’s somehow not a viable candidate.
How do they draw causation there? I don’t know either but to them it’s a fact.
But what makes this whole thing really f*cked up is I have to hand it to them – it’s great marketing.
Guaranteed every single one of their porn-hating voters were creaming their pants at receiving such a taboo thing in the mail. I can just see them at the dinner table, saying a silent prayer to Jesus under the guise of offering thanks for the potatoes “AMEN!” then rushing their kids to bed so they could rip open the envelope and get off on those naughty pics without feeling guilty – “The Virginia Republican Party gave us permission!”
Sorry to break it to them, it still counts so now you’re all going to hell! Whahahahaaaa.
Anyhow, Gibson, a nurse practitioner and mom of two, was outted back in September by another yahoo who went to The Washington Post with this earth-shattering news that she was doing adult work – who the f*ck cares?! What are her politics?! That’s what people should be worried about not how she makes her LEGAL living on the side.
Calls came for her to step down, but Gibson told them no dice and went on record with some staunch quotes as reported on by the Daily Mirror: “it’s an illegal invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me and my family… it won’t intimidate me, and it won’t silence me.”
After that the Virginia Repubs were really mad, how dare she?! They had to do something and put that pretty little lady in her place! Hence the truly evil genius move of sending out XXX fliers in hopes of smearing her reputation. I wonder how they decided which photos to pull from her videos? What you want to bet it was a nice discussion over coffee and donuts while they secretly pleasured themselves under the table?
The whole thing is almost kind of funny if it weren’t so sad.
That’s because this type of nonsense continues the false rhetoric that someone who does adult work is unworthy of the vote and unfit for office. It’s not fact, truth, or even intelligent – and worst of all it takes voters’ eyes off the real issues – what does Gibson stand for and how will she fight for her causes? She’s now been diluted down to a sex video which has no bearing at all on how she will actually serve.
Shame on you Virginia Republican Party!
