VIETNAM — According to a recent online poll, there are a few things that Vietnamese adults stuck on long airplane trips love to do to wile away the time. The second most popular activity that helps burn the miles and hours… is watching porn.The poll was inspired by the hubbub surrounding two Vietnamese businessmen who had been ordered to turn of an erotic video that they had been watching while traveling between Hanoi and Paris last month.

News website VNExpress decided to find out how common the practice was – and was impressed by the results.

Given that the two gentlemen in question had managed to offend a French female seatmate in their row, one wonders how carefully seat assignments must be determined in order to make it possible for so many people to indulge their penchant for the saucy while in flight.

When asked “What do you normally do on long-haul flights?” 20-percent of the 2,712 poll takers enthusiastically proclaimed “watching sex films” to be their preference.

Another 47-percent revealed that reading books or newspapers helped pass the time, with a modest 15-percent claiming that their greatest relaxation came from viewing “decent films.”
