Video Secrets’ Updated API Offers Revenue Potential
YNOT – Calabasas, Calif.-based video-chat network Video Secrets has launched an updated version of its Cam-Reg API. The application programming interface allows affiliates to create live chat accounts for their customers without requiring customers to interact independently with Video Secrets.
Online documentation and code examples are available to help webmasters integrate the application.
Historically, affiliates with membership sites have used the Cam-Reg API to create value for their members while generating a revenue stream from the live chat up-sells. In a basic example, a customer purchases a membership at the affiliate’s website, the affiliate’s systems communicate with the Cam-Reg API to create a live chat account simultaneously and the customer is able to use the live chat services without the need to create a separate Video Secrets account. The API also gives the new account free credits so the customer to try out the product. An automatic email informs users about their free credits.
“The Cam-Reg API is a powerful and flexible tool designed to give sophisticated affiliates the ability to create engaging points of entry for new customers,” said Brad Estes, operations manager for Video Secrets. “Once customers experience a live show with a performer, they become highly likely to continue using the service and spend more money.”
Homegrown Video has found the API useful.
“VS Media’s member API system has made it easier to directly market cam shows to our members in an integrated and convenient way,” Homegrown Chief Executive Officer Spike Goldberg said. “These types of tools really help gain and sustain cam revenue.”
Video Secrets’ support staff is available to discuss the ways in which the the Cam-Reg API can be used to scale earning potential. Email a support representative to to discuss the integration possibilities, or visit VideoSecrets.com for more information.
