Toothbrush Vibe Hides in Plain Sight
LONDON – Remember all those jokes about using an electric toothbrush as a vibrator?
Stop joking.
British startup Viberry.me has debuted what it calls a “3D-printed toothbrush attachment that offers women an inconspicuous alternative to traditional sex toys.” The attachment looks like a raspberry, hence the product’s — and the company’s — name.
While some may be tempted to scoff, Viberry assures consumers “the Viberry is not just an eye-catching gimmick. It’s a truly powerful vibrator that allows women to enjoy the convenience of a cordless vibrator without losing any of the sensation.”
“To use, simply remove your electric toothbrush head and replace it with the Viberry massage head,” a company statement advised. “It’s incredibly easy to use, fun and powerful.”
For those who prefer to brush their teeth the old-fashioned way, the thoughtful folks at Viberry offer a kit that includes both an electric toothbrush and the massage head.
“Studies suggest that approximately 70 percent of women require direct clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm,” said Chief Executive Officer Lucy Lake said. “And yet, when I talk to women, most of them tell me that they don’t feel comfortable with using a sex toy.”
Viberry’s goal is “to empower women to orgasm more often by giving them a fun, discreet and easy-to-use vibrator that won’t embarrass them,” Lake added. “Vibrators still remain a taboo subject, but our tagline ‘hidden in plain sight’ reassures users that the Viberry can be left around the house without raising awkward questions from children, guests or even husbands.”
The company has created a handy demo video.
