VCX Cancer Fundraiser for Henri Pachard Shows the Love
LAS VEGAS, NV — Companies like Golden Age distributor VCX would have fewer quality adult titles to share with an eager retro-loving audience if it weren’t for the likes of Golden Age directors like Henri Pachard. Now that Pachard is fighting for his life, VCX and its customers are showing him some love — $1400 worth, to be exact.Pachard, the director of classics including the groundbreaking Taboo American Style series has been battling cancer for the past few years, with things taking an especially dire turn recently.
In an effort to help enrich the Henri Pachard Cancer Fund, VCX president David Sutton, chose to earmark 20-percent of June VOD and DVD sales for all four chapters in the Taboo series to the compassionate effort.
“Henri’s Taboo American Style entertained many people since its release 23 years ago and I’m very pleased that we are able to help him now, through his movies,” Sutton explained in a company press release.
According to Sutton, VCX’s efforts raised $900 – while HotMovies.com contributed an additional $500.
“He’s one of the greats in this business,” Sutton reminds, “and the work he’s done for the companies in this industry should be recognized, especially now. The people I work with at HotMovies.com also stepped up to the plate with their contribution, and I hope more companies will follow.”
Those hoping to contribute to the Henri Pachard Cancer Fund can do so directly by sending a tax deductible donation to Protecting Adult Welfare (PAW), 17400 Marilla St. Northridge, CA 91325, Attention: The Henri Pachard Project.
