Updates to Pay Pages Help Convert Int’l Users
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – SegPay has redesigned its pay pages to help digital merchants convert international users. Based on a consumer’s IP address, he or she will be shown one of 14 pages localized to geographic region, offering payment options available in the area, and presented in the user’s native language.
As part of the update, SegPay added currencies for eight previously untapped markets.
“These enhancements allow merchants to create a better consumer experience during the checkout process, ultimately driving higher sales acquisitions,” President and Chief Executive Officer Cathy Beardsley said.
According to a recent study by Juniper Research, mobile retail purchases are expected to exceed $700 billion annually by 2018, representing 30 percent of all ecommerce. In an effort to help merchants meet growing mobile transaction demands, SegPay’s new pay pages are fully responsive and optimized for mobile conversion.
“At SegPay, we are seeing over 70 percent of all pay-page hits coming from mobile devices,” Beardsley said. “We want our merchants to be able to convert those hits to a sales transaction through fully responsive pages that not only look great but also function across all platforms and devices.”
The new system offers five default templates, each tested for optimal conversion. All allow digital retailers to create fully customizable pay pages to match their brands. The pages may be executed across multiple sites.
In addition, the pages contain dynamic pricing options that allow merchants to establish URL-driven pricing structures for marketing campaigns. The new feature allows merchants to run several different promotions through affiliate marketers and traditional digital campaigns.
“We want our merchants to have the best tools in the business to not only retain their customers, but to gain new ones,” said Jeff Rosenzweig, vice president of operations. “At SegPay, we can help our merchants reach potential consumers almost anywhere in the world.”
