Twistbox Adds Veterans to Staff as Ad Impressions Climb
YNOT – Twistbox Entertainment has named veteran mobile industry executives Ashley Christie and Brian Elkan to key sales posts.
Christie previously served as head of mobile operations at CC Media, where he managed an interactive mobile content delivery platform utilizing live-cam technology. In his new position as director of global business development, he will manage sales and new business development for the Twistbox’s ad network and billing solutions.
Elkan was one of the earliest employees of WAAT Media, which later became Twistbox Entertainment. In the interim, he has managed mobile advertising campaigns for a variety of marketing companies in addition to working within the search engine optimization and product development spheres. Most recently, he served as product manager for Adenyo’s mobile ad platform.
The company also promoted Phil Mellon to global marketing manager, where he is responsible for promoting the company’s suite of content services and platform technologies to mobile operators and 3rd party publishers.
“These are exceptionally knowledgeable individuals who have real-world experience running mobile campaigns and data services globally,” said Twistbox Chief Operating Officer Dave Waldman. “Their contribution to the company allows us to continue our grow in key verticals, and offer more compelling, innovative services to our partners.”
The company’s growth has been phenomenal within the past month alone, Christie noted. Twistbox served 1.2 billion ad impressions in April, up from 750 million impressions the previous month. In-house statistics indicate the network’s primary demographic is males 18-45 years old.
“We are very happy with the progress we’ve made over the past year, and we are seeing the results of that progress in our growth,” he said. “We expect to continue to grow our business significantly over the next year with the addition of new publisher partnerships that will allow Twistbox to provide new sources of high-quality, localized mobile traffic.”
Twistbox actively seeks new partnerships with publishers and advertisers within the mobile space, and the company’s full suite of enabling technologies is now available, including bespoke site solutions, mobile billing and in-application billing, along with the market insight Twistbox has gained from more than eight years operating in the mobile entertainment industry.
