Trade Shows Result in Mergers, Acquisitions
YNOT – No matter their size, location or market focus, adult industry trade shows tout themselves as venues for “doing business.” In recent years, a significant portion of the business being done seems to have revolved around cementing partnerships and signing merger and acquisition agreements.
Some entrepreneurs, like Kenny B and Steve, credit international trade shows with exposing them to the merger bug in the first place. The two men, who own adult website networks on different continents, met at a trade show in London and discovered their business models and skill sets were complementary. Although it took them a while to hammer out an agreement that suited them both, Kenny B’s KB Productions, based in Montreal, recently acquired an ownership and management interest in Steve’s London-based Bittie Bucks and Girlie Cash affiliate programs.
The men feel the partnership will place both companies in a stronger position to market their products and serve their affiliates better by allowing Steve to produce more content and KB Productions to handle the back-end details.
“With Steve’s high-quality content and access to stunning models combined with our team working with affiliates and end users, I have no doubt we will be able to not only maximize revenues on current sites but also bring new high-quality sites to market,” Kenny B said.
KB Productions owns and operates Kenny’s Pennies and Radical Cash, affiliate programs that offer a combined total of more than 35 websites in niches like smoking, pregnancy, cum-eating, interracial sex and watersports. Kenny’s Pennies pays a 50-percent recurring revenue share, and Radical Cash offers $25 per sign-up or 60-percent recurring revenue share.
With Bittie Bucks, KB Productions adds eight more websites featuring women with large, natural breasts; Girlie Cash, adds seven feature sites and 12 micro-sites in the teen and solo-girl niches. The programs pay recurring revenue shares of 50 percent and up to 70 percent, respectively.
“We’ve looked for a solid partner for a long time,” Steve said. “I am sure people are aware of our previous partnerships and how they didn’t work out, but in Kenny’s Pennies we believe we’ve finally found our perfect partner. Here’s to a massive 2013.”
New promotional material has been added to Bittie Bucks and Girlie Cash, and more will be added each week, Kenny B said. He also plans to add the C4 custom content channel creator tool KB Productions created for Kenny’s Pennies “soon.” C4 allows affiliates to create their own white-label content channels and mini-sites.
