Toronto City Councillors Visit Strip Club
TORONTO, CANADA — Lunchtime patrons at an area nude dance club here got an eyeful on Thursday and it certainly wasn’t related to the on-stage menu.At any other strip club in the world, three well-dressed businessmen attending for lunch would hardly cause a stir, but representatives of the Adult Entertainment Association of Canada are all smiles after three city councillors took up their offer and had lunch at the House of Lancaster.
Councillors Frank Di Giorgio, Giorgio Mammoliti and Cesar Palacio all took time from regular work in Canada’s largest city to visit the club for what some could call an inspection by city bosses.
According to the AEAC website, “The goal of the association is the creation of an organization striving to achieve acceptable standards of practices in the industry of adult entertainment clubs and to work with governments and other associations to allow acceptable implementation of these standards and practices.”
Tim Lambrinos, executive director of AEAC told TheStar.com that transportation was included but it was clear that city executives paid their own way.
“You can’t draft it in a report.”
