Topco Joins Rocker Phil Varone to Sponsor Charity Event
YNOT – Adult novelty manufacturer Topco Sales has partnered with rock ‘n’ roll legend Phil Varone for the Second Annual Christmas Show, a benefit for the young men of the Clear View Treatment Center residential rehab facility.
“Clear View uses so much of its resources in the provision of its rehabilitation services that they must rely upon donations to provide things like Christmas gifts to their young residents,” Varone said. “And you’d be amazed at how much something as simple as a small holiday gift can do to lift these boys’ spirits.”
Varone, of Skid Row, Saigon Kick and VH1 fame, will host the event. Performances by magician Justin Rivera, musical comedian Allison Weber the band Kottak with frontman James Kottak of The Scorpions, and an all-star jam session are slated to hit the stage Dec. 10 at Angels Roadhouse Bar ‘n’ Grille in Corona, Calif. Entertainment begins at 8 p.m.
“Phil is one of the hardest working guys in entertainment,” said Topco Sales Director of Marketing and Public Relations Desiree Duffie. “In addition to being featured on television shows like Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, he hosts comedy shows, charity events, concerts and so much more. Besides this event, Topco Sales supported a recent celebrity poker tournament hosted by Phil. We plan on partnering on future projects as well.”
Topco Sales provided an in-kind donation to help sponsor the charity event.
During the event, Varone plans to autograph advance copies the Winter 2010 issue of Playgirl magazine, within which he appears nude in a 20 page spread.
Angels Roadhouse is located at 1650 East 6th Street. A $5 cover charge, all of which will benefit the designated charity, will be collected at the door.
