LOS ANGELES – The Sex Awards has thrown open the virtual doors to a brand-new website where fans may cast their votes for stars, sites and products from a slate of nearly 2,000 nominees in 17 categories.

Inaugurated this year as a partnership between X3Sixty Network and AVN Media Network, The Sex Awards are billed as “the adult industry’s first consumer-voted award show to be broadcast on national television.”

Eligibility for the 2013 awards was limited to products and movies released between June 1, 2012, and May 31, 2013. What producers described as “overwhelming industry business and talent participation in the nomination process” resulted in more than 100 nominees per category.

“We feel that the consumer will enjoy voting on these 17 categories,” said X3Sixty President Paul Fishbein. “The site launch will allow the nominated companies and people to use their social media resources to garner votes, making the whole experience interactive.”

Fans may vote for up to five nominees per category by visiting TheSexAwards.com. Votes are limited to one per IP address once submitted. As a thank-you for participating, a drawing will award two free tickets to the industry-only awards show, scheduled to take place Oct. 9 at Avalon Hollywood. Digital Playground contract star Kayden Kross will host.

The deadline to vote is Aug. 25.
