The Search is On: Integration Developer for New Technology
YNOT – Adult video-on-demand and e-commerce platform GameLink plans aggressive expansion of its underlying technology during 2013. In preparation, the company seeks a software developer who can integrate a new system Popular Mechanics dubbed one of the Top 10 Tech Breakthroughs of 2012.
Leap Motion’s 3D gesture controller senses hand and finger movements, allowing computer users to interact with their equipment without mice or keyboards. According to the company, the plug-and-play, iPod-sized device frees computer users from their tethers, allowing them to interact intuitively with their equipment from anywhere within eight cubic feet of the device.
GameLink plans to be one of the first companies to take commercial advantage of the new technology. A spokesperson said the company seeks development strategies that provide the most stimulating ways to incorporate Leap Motion into GameLink’s game plan.
“The principals at GameLink are looking for a developer [who] can best integrate GameLink’s hottest movies with Leap Motion’s interactive controller, a tiny device that attaches to any computer and senses the user’s hand and finger movements for direct 3D interaction with the screen,” Vice President of Business Development Jeff Dillon said. “The winner of the contest, which begins Jan. 15, will receive a development contract with GameLink.
“GameLink looks to bring a new dimension beyond sight and sound to adult movies and private cams by developing the Leap Motion technology,” he added.
