The NichePay Volleyball Bash – Drinks Won’t Be the Only Thing Getting Spiked
SAN DIEGO, CA – Sun, sand, balls and pretty girls bouncing up and down – no, it’s not a porn shoot on the beach, it’s the NichePay Volleyball Bash, coming up on Saturday, June 10th, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at 1551 Shelter Island Drive in San Diego, California.Designed to be (literally) the hottest event at the 2006 Cybernet Expo, which takes place from June 8-11 at the Kona Kai Resort in San Diego, the NichePay Volleyball Bash was an idea that “just came out of nowhere.”
“We were just sitting around in the office and thinking what would be a fun event for San Diego and – shazam – NichePay Volleyball was born,” says Art Del Gado Affiliate Manager at NichePay. “We wanted to throw an event that would be fun for everyone, both men & women. It’s summer, we are by the beach, so why not do a volleyball event?”
To add a little extra incentive into the mix, the Volleyball Bash sports a first place prize of $1,000, with $300 going to the second place finisher and $200 to the third place team.
Del Gado says that while the games are sure to be good, friendly competition, one shouldn’t necessarily expect any “ringers” among the assembled players.
“I’m pretty sure most everyone knows the rules of volleyball,” says Del Gado, “but do they really know how to play, or play on a daily basis? I highly doubt it…. then again there might be one or two in the bunch.”
Del Gado says the event will employ the standard rules of volleyball, but “we might make a few minor changes.”
“We will see how the first game goes,” Del Gado says with a laugh. “As far as matches, it will be a single match ‘elimination-style.’”
To add an authentic touch, “we will have a referee with a whistle and the whole nine yards,” Del Gado says.
Beyond the obvious – the big prizes being offered, and the networking opportunity available to players and spectators of the Volleyball Bash alike, Del Gado says that what the whole event really boils down to is just old-fashioned good fun.
“The main idea behind this event is for everyone to have a really good time, says Del Gado. “It’s not to ‘spam,’ and it’s not about the giveaways (which there will be) or even the BIG PRIZE. We just want the people in the adult industry who work hard all day long in front of their computers to be outside and having some fun with their fellow webmasters. Have some drinks, spike some balls, and see some hot girls jump up and down.”
If everything goes as planned, Del Gado says, this won’t be the last chance webmasters will get to smack some balls around on the sand.
“This is the start of many more volleyball events to come your way from the NichePay crew,” Del Gado says. “We are planning to make this event a NichePay standard for many shows to come.”
