The local pub? The latest and the greatest restaurant opening? Nope, we are always right there at Albumside.com . My friends are always calling me up asking me to meet them here, or meet them there and I just say “Nope, Albumside tonight.” “Why?” They ask, “Why?”

In order to explain it to them, they would first have to experience a few shows. While your first Albumside may capture your interest, after a couple you are hooked. Even when I couldn’t make a show because of this reason or that, I was still thinking about it. I still wondered what DoKK was doing, or what answer Bestat was getting right again.

The foundation for this show is the DJ. And his name is DoKK. DoKK is an amazing man. A true performer, and he always surprises the Albumside listeners. He has the charm of a young Frank Sinatra, the natural flow of Ted Williams, the creativity of Warhol, and the radio presence of Orson Wells. There is “something” about DoKK that makes you stick around. DoKK possesses that magical element which only true performers have. DoKK mixes great conversation with all request music, really bad jokes, great trivia, and a sense of down home cooking. Must be his Southern charm!

DoKK also possesses another great trait. No matter how bad your week, day, or month has been, no matter how crappy you feel, or no matter what rut you think you are in, he has a way of pulling you right out. For three hours every Friday night, I forget about the bad things in the world and the problems I have. I get my “dose” of DoKK and its all good! If you are in the doldrums, give Albumside a shot this Friday night from 9:00pm to midnight EST.

There are a plethora of radio shows out there. Some are as new as a week old, some are a year old, some are even coming back after being off the air. But YNOTMaster’s Albumside has always been there. Through thick and thin, it is as reliable as the eight o’clock train. I have listened to pretty much every Webmaster radio show on the net. There are some REALLY bad ones out there, which are no more than one person stroking his/her own ego, to some excellent advice shows. But in my opinion, Albumside reigns supreme.

You can find the biggest players to the newest Webmaster all together without ego. While those who used to participate and now have gone on to ridiculous careers of lying and deceit have all seem to not be around anymore (which is good), you can still find the best people of the Industry hanging out. There are also a couple of great people we miss in there, but they are too busy doing great work now. But the mainstay crowd, always there, have become my Friday night family.

Its similar to when I owned a bar and every Friday Happy Hour I would have the same ten to fifteen people sitting at my bar. I looked forward to seeing them, to talking with them, and to just hanging out and listening. Well, I am out of the bar business, but not out of the Happy Hour business. My Happy Hour for almost the last two years has been YNOTMaster’s Fridays with Albumside.

Albumside is also a way for Webmasters with a smaller advertising budget to get noticed. For example, a content provider can donate a couple of their cd’s as prizes for the evening. LAJ, and myself, will then hit most all of the major chat boards announcing Albumside and giving the URL to the prize donor’s site. Right there you are getting free awareness. Then during Albumside DoKK does a great job of promoting the donator, showing the URL, and generally “honking up” the person’s business. The next Saturday and Monday, I go back to the YNOTMaster’s general chat board and thank the person again for the donations and give the URL again. This is free great promotion for basically the cost of burning another CD.

There have been many memorable moments on Albumside. Sometimes I find myself laughing so hard, or being so shocked, I think about it throughout my weekend. I have created a top list of what I feel has been the best shows this year.

Starting at #5:

DoKK calls me up when I am on the road at the Phoenix Southwest Webmaster Gathering. He is asking me questions about how the show is, what we are doing, etc. I put the crazy Cassidy Cox on to talk to him for a bit and then she hands the phone back to me. DoKK continues to talk to me, but as he does, Cassidy and two other amateur women start having sex right there in front of me. One of them actually comes over and starts to give me a little rub and do certain thing, and I have to maintain my “radioness”. The last thing DoKK says to me, and he has no idea what is going on, is “OK Bob, take care and don’t let any of them women grab you.” Ahhahahaha, if he only knew!

I am doing a live sex show, testing out some brand new toys on an amateur girl who has never even been naked on camera before. We pick out three different toys. I get “Monica” to take off all her clothes and she is naturally a little bit nervous. Remember, she has never even been naked in front of a camera, let alone live on camera and the radio. She was supposed to come back and do more, but after that first “O” she was done. The Sex Toy review session had officially ended.

The night that DoKK broke the Brianna façade. There used to be a Webmaster out there that was playing as a hot female to get favors from certain players in the Industry. I knew this was no woman. So did a few others. But I never said anything publicly, because it was just not my place. Well one night, “Brianna” was in Albumside, and she was flirting a bit with DoKK. She had sent DoKK a fake picture of her and DoKK was naturally getting a bit interested. Well, I couldn’t take seeing my main man DoKK get swindled. I secretly private DoKK to be careful because I had my suspicions about Brianna’s sexuality. I was expecting DoKK to be quiet about it and to just play her off. But NO! Hahahaha!! I hear DoKK go “WHAT?” Then “Brianna, you have five minutes to call in and prove you are a woman or you are DONE!” Oh man, this was classic. Naturally everyone started to pay attention and start yelling, “Call in Brianna!!” DoKK was going off “Call in Brianna if you’re a lady!” Needless to say Brianna didn’t call in. She/he sat there in the chat room for a few minutes, silent, and then disappeared forever from the show and the Adult Internet! Classic!!

Laura from www.AngelsofPorn.com is doing a promo on Albumside promoting her new site and her affiliate program. She brings in two very fresh amateur girls to do some loving on the camera and on the radio. Needless to say, the crowd wanted fast. Bdbwbbbdwbdwvbdbdwbvbdbwbdwdwbedbwdbwd! Out they come to a howl of enjoyment and unknowing pleasure as the crowd all “stood and applauded.”

Not all Albumsides have had live sex. As a matter of fact only a few have had any live cam at all. We stopped this a while back when we realized we want to relax on Albumside, and not get all fired up. We brought it back to the basics, that of friendly chat, great music and prizes, and an overall Happy Hour feel. But the best Albumside I have ever experienced was September 14th of this year. It was just three days after the terrorist bombings and I emailed DoKK asking him if we should do the show. He emailed me back stating that we HAD to do the show. We needed to show people that we will go on, that we will be around. There are people who need DoKK every week, and we were going to do this. Not only to give respect to those who perished, but to rally our community as one. DoKK went on that night, needless to say, a true professional. He kept the jokes coming, he kept the chat upbeat, and he kept the music playing. It wasn’t until about half way through that it finally hit him. He started to get a bit emotional on the air. He told me later he had never, ever been emotional like this on the air. But this brought everyone together, like when a brother or a sister gets in trouble, or when a loved one dies. DoKK worked his magic that night and we all walked away from that YNOTMaster’s Albumside show a bit more at ease about our world. He had taken away our stress and worry for a few hours, he had shown us it was ok to be affected by it all, and he brought us back to feeling good about each other and America. Excellent work DoKK. If they awarded a Peace prize for Internet radio, you would be hands down the winner.

So you see, it’s not all about the grind of the workweek. The deadlines we all must meet, or the money we have to make. It is about the weekly interaction with the people we love and work with. It is about getting to know your “neighbor”, finding new friends and learning about them. It is about a sense of community that many Americans have been finding out just lately. But that sense of community has been around a long time, it has always been on YNOTMaster’s Albumside on Friday night. I hope to “see” you there this week!
