Terpon’s Jean-Claude: 3D VR is Entertainment’s Future
PHOENIX – When 3D virtual-reality camera technology company Terpon entered the adult space about nine months ago, it did so with a bang. According to co-founder Jean-Claude, that is the only way to get the attention of a market as bold, brash, and tech-hungry adult seems to be.
Terpon’s principals come from mainstream VR backgrounds; Jean-Claude has worked in that space since 2001.
“So that is not new [for me],” he told YNOT Group LLC co-owner Jay Kopita during the most recent YNOT VIP Quickies interview. “What is new for us is adult.”
So far, Jean-Claude said, he and his partners have found the adult industry lives up to its reputation as pioneers in and early adopters of new technology. That is particularly true for the cam segment, he noted, which is why Terpon focused on getting its product — easy-to-set-up-and-use 3D VR cameras and headsets — to the people who could make the biggest consumer impact the quickest: cam models.
“We are now working on delivery of the first thousand cameras we are giving away,” he told Kopita, adding that top cam models interact with thousands upon thousands of people weekly.
Jean-Claude has quite a bit more to say about the adult industry, his company’s technology and the direction entertainment is headed. See for yourself in the video below.
