System JO Lends a Hand to CSPH on ‘Giving Tuesday’
PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Intimate lubricant manufacturer System JO will match, dollar for dollar up to $2,000, donations received by the Center for Sexual Pleasure & Health (CSPH) on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28.
Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to charitable giving around the globe, was created by the United Nations Foundation and others as a response to the massive amount of holiday commercialization following Thanksgiving in the U.S. Many businesses use the day to donate a percentage of sales or in some other way support a worthy cause.
System JO chose CSPH, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, sex-positive educational organization that provides comprehensive, medically accurate and pleasure-inclusive sex education.
“We are endlessly grateful for System JO’s generous matching gift pledge this Giving Tuesday,” said CSPH Executive Director Kayla Wingert. “Our programs and services are made possible through the support of individual donors and partners like System JO. Gifts made on Giving Tuesday will support CSPH programs, such as our twice-annual Sexual Attitude Reassessment, our national Study Sex College Tour and our sex-therapy services.”
The CSPH aims to raise $4,000 in one day on Giving Tuesday. Donors who give $100 or more will be entered to win one of 25 prize packages that include System JO products, chocolate and a CSPH tote bag.
“At System JO, our commitment to enhancing sensual experiences is our passion,” Mike Woolard, chief executive officer for System JO parent company United Consortium. “That’s why we’re proud to support the Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health on Giving Tuesday. Since its founding in 2010, The CSPH has been providing pleasure-inclusive sex education across the country and offering sliding-scale sex therapy services to low-income individuals and couples. We couldn’t be happier to match gifts dollar-for-dollar made to the CSPH on Nov. 28. Please give generously.”
Giving Tuesday is a part of a larger fundraising campaign the center is coordinating between Nov. 21 and Jan. 3. The goal: to raise $25,000 to support the CSPH’s programs and services. Should the CSPH meet its goal, 20 percent of funds raised immediately will be donated in equal shares to three organizations: Life After Hate, the Women of Color Health Network and Project Weber/Renew.
