SWAID Las Vegas is Helping Vulnerable Sex Workers, Asks for Industry Support
LAS VEGAS, NV – SWAID Las Vegas is on a mission to provide aid to sex workers who fall on challenging times, and the organization is looking for financial backers as it works to expand its operations and positive impact.
“We want to help as many vulnerable sex workers as possible,” said Codi Vore, a popular adult industry performer and one of six founders of SWAID Las Vegas. “For that we need the support of companies that don’t just talk about helping sex workers, but who also back up that talk with action. If your company shares our goals and values, then we’d like to talk with you about how we can work together to aid sex workers in need.”
Unlike charities run by industry outsiders with their own agendas, SWAID was founded entirely by adult performers and creators, so it’s uniquely positioned to know how best to help to sex workers who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties. In addition to Vore, the groups other founders include Summer Hart, Tegan Trex, Queen Ava, Sophie Ladder and Xander Corvus – an impressive group with a long history of adult industry work and a passion for helping the sex worker community.
How exactly can SWAID Las Vegas help sex workers? According to Vore, the organization has numerous tools at its disposal.
“We can help by providing micro grants, by helping with groceries, contraceptives and harm reduction supplies, supplying resource referrals, throwing fundraising events and also just through general community building.”
Individuals who want to donate to SWAID Las Vegas can do so through its contribute page, and companies interested in assisting the organization in an ongoing way should at email swaidvegas@protonmail.com.
