Survey: 11% of Women Post Sexy Selfies Online
BATH, England – Women’s confidence in themselves have never been higher, according to a new survey conducted by sex toy retailer Lovehoney.
Almost 30 percent of respondents said they do not aspire to look like celebrities in their undies; instead, they’d rather look like themselves. Seventy percent stated they buy sexy lingerie to make themselves, not someone else, feel fabulous.
The study also indicated a surprising number of women are posting sexy selfies on public forums like Instagram: More than one in 10 (11 percent) have posted a revealing image somewhere on the internet. More than one quarter of respondents (27 percent) go public with their racy shots for their own personal satisfaction.
The surge in “self love” does not mean partners have been left out in the cold, though. Seven in 10 women have taken a sexy selfie in their lingerie for their partner. Sixty-three percent of married couples Married couples have shared sexy lingerie snaps to get their other partner hot under the collar.
The statistics emerged from a survey Lovehoney conducted for the launch of its new Seduce Me lingerie collection.
“It great to see so many women using lingerie not only to spice up their sex lives, but also to make themselves look and feel amazing,” Lovehoney Lingerie designer Heather Mercer said.
Award-winning Lovehoney Lingerie is one of the fastest-growing lingerie labels with sales up more than 40 percent in the past year. The new Seduce Me range is their biggest yet, Mercer said.
