YNOT – SugarDVD.com calls itself the “largest renter of adult DVDs by mail,” and its companion site SugarVOD.com offers “40,000 video on demand movies.” Now the company that runs both sites is announcing a brand new “download to own” service that will give consumers another option to complement existing pricing plans like pay-per-minute viewing or 2-7 day viewing.”Once purchased the movies are permanently available to the customer for unlimited viewing,” the company said through a press release. “Customers can burn downloaded movies to a DVD or watch them instantly from their computer.”

The new service is compatible with users of Apple Macintosh computers, as well as Windows, and will work with all browsers including the popular Firefox.

A company spokesperson also told YNOT that a “Sugar” channel is currently in development for the Roku box.

“Our goal with this new service is to provide our customers with an easy way to view video on demand movies offline and on their TV sets,” said Jax, CEO of SugarDVD and SugarVOD.

The company also offers the SugarCash.com affiliate program, giving website owners with adult traffic an opportunity to cash in on the growing popularity of VOD internet programming.
