Stunner Media Donates 100% of Profits to AIDS Charities
YNOT – In honor of World AIDS Day, Montreal-based gay adult company Stunner Media earmarked 100 percent of its Dec. 1 profits for distribution to AIDS charities in Canada and the UK. Websites in all four of the company’s affiliate programs participated in the fundraising effort.
“We are thrilled to announce that over $2,200 will be donated as a result of our Dec. 1 promo,” Stunner Chief Executive Officer Philippe St-Onge said. “Despite our $1.95 trial being the most popular option, many surfers opted to go with a monthly membership, knowing their money would go directly to charity.
“We have been extremely fortunate to find success in these past few years, and we’d like to give back to people who need it,” he added by way of explanation for the uncommon generosity embodied by the effort.
Of course, the community’s inherent generosity inspired the company’s, St-Onge noted.
“We believe gay surfers and affiliates are generally more socially conscious and involved within the community,” he said. “We’re happy that the notices we put on the sites explaining our donation plans have helped sell more memberships, proving that surfers aren’t scared of this topic.”
Despite the 100-percent donation, affiliates will receive their normal payouts for Dec. 1 sales, he added.
Stunner Media’s affiliate programs — BoyCrushCash, StandAhead, Phoenixxx and IndieBucks — contain 19 pay sites paying from $25 to $35 per sale or up to 60 percent recurring revenue share. StandAhead offers both gay and straight properties.
