Study: Third of UK College Students would Strip, 10 Percent would ‘Escort’
YNOT – A new survey by temp-work website StudentGems.com has revealed statistics guaranteed to strike fear into the hearts of parents across the UK: More than one-third of British female college students would work as exotic dancers to fund their university educations. Two percent already have. Ironically, only three percent would consider continuing in any adult line of work post-graduation.
The statistics arose from a poll of 1,022 female undergraduates.
Eleven percent said they would consider spending the night with a client as a way to pay the bills, while 73 percent avowed they never would trade sex for cash.
In addition, 41 percent of students revealed they would be willing to pose for erotic glamour photographs, and 72 percent agreed they would consider modeling in their underwear.
The poll was part of the website’s effort to determine what types of work students seek and for what types of work they might qualify. It is unknown whether positions in the adult entertainment industry will begin showing up among the “help wanted” listings.
StudentGems.com, which urges college kids to “use your skills to earn money,” currently displays listings for positions in the film and television industries, dramatic arts, dancing, modeling, photography and, uh, “odds & ends.”
