Study Says: JuicyAds Monetizes 11 Percent of All Adult Websites
Vancouver — JuicyAds is actively monetizing 11 percent of the internet’s adult websites, according to a recent study.
The study — “Tracking sex: The implications of widespread sexual data leakage and tracking on porn websites” written by Elena Maris, Timothy Libert and Jennifer Henrichsen — conducted by the University of Pennysylvania, in conjunction with Carnegie Mellon University and Microsoft, has found that companies like Google, Facebook, and Oracle report user data to third parties. Even in incognito mode, users are being tracked, with their data then effectively sold.
But there are other useful bits of information included in the study too!
Out of the 22,484 porn sites examined in the study from top Alexa-ranking websites, approximately 11 percent were being monetized by JuicyAds, The Sexy Advertising Network.
Researchers reported on page 4 of the study that:
We identified 230 different companies and services tracking users in our sample. Such tracking is highly concentrated by a handful of major companies, some of which are pornography-specific. Of non-pornography-specific services, Google tracks 74% of sites, Oracle 24%, Facebook 10%, Cloudflare and Yadro 7%, and New Relic and Lotame 6%. Porn-specific trackers in the top ten are exoClick (40%), JuicyAds (11%), and EroAdvertising (9%). 171 companies and services are present on fewer than 1% of sites, exhibiting a long- tail effect.
“We are pleased to see the strength of our market share of adult websites being identified by notable third party studies,” said Juicy Jay, CEO and Founder of JuicyAds.
“We have been working harder than ever and our inventory continues to grow, as well as our platform features, such as the Adsistant auto-optimization tool that has been a revolutionary time-saver,” he added.
In previous years, W3Techs ranked JuicyAds as one of the Top 10 Advertising Networks in the world, which encompassed both mainstream and adult advertising networks.
