Studio20 Going Live for Charity on International Day of Charity, Sept 5
International cam franchise Studio20 has announced that tomorrow, September 5, the company’s CEO, along with “every trainer, tech, admin, marketing staff, manager from the 18 offices that Studio20 has in Romania, Hungary, Colombia and the USA” will log on as cam models in support of the CamForCharity challenge.
The event is Studio20’s contribution to the International Day of Charity, an annual day of awareness-raising and united philanthropic effort first declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012.
“We know all the prejudice opinion about the cam industry and cam models in the world and especially in Romania,” said Mugur Frunzetti, CEO of Studio20. “Through this campaign we wish to open up a few eyes, bring some awareness upon what this job entails and show the world that even if some of us have law degrees, financial studies, others are programmers or marketing people, we are proud of our models. So proud, actually, that we want to walk in their shoes and understand how they feel. All the funds that we raise in the time that we spend broadcasting will be donated to the Save the Children Foundation.”
Studio20 said the idea to have the off-screen members of the Studio20 team originated a few years ago as a training method, established to give the studio’s trainers a better understanding of the challenges cam models face. In the years since then, the practice has “turned into a real competition between the studios.”
Andra Chirnogeanu, Studio20’s PR Executive, said the competition will give each member of the team an opportunity to show off their talents for a good cause.
“We’re all good at a lot of things; dancing, singing, giving advice, etc., and we’re going to try and use our skills online, as models,” Chirnogeanu said. “Each person that accepted the challenge will have a model’s account and for one hour on September 5th, will go live in the Celebrity/Non-Adult section.”
While having fun and showing off their skills is part of the challenge, Chirnogeanu said the primary goals are to raise money for Save the Children, raise awareness and change perspectives and preconceptions some people have about cam performers.
“We’re really excited to help the children, understand the models better, and hopefully, open a few closed minds about what camming is really about,” Chirnogeanu said.
