Studio 20 Joins FSC
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Free Speech Coalition, the national trade association for the adult industry, is pleased to announce that Studio 20, one of the leaders in the growing webcam industry, has joined the organization at the Platinum level.
Founded in Bucharest, Romania, in 2013, Studio 20 now boasts over 350 performers, operating in studios in Europe, South America and the United States.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Studio 20 as a Platinum member,” said Eric Paul Leue, FSC’s Executive Director. “We have been aggressive in our defense of the webcam industry and webcam performers, both on the legislative level and through public awareness campaigns.”
FSC led one such campaign against the Netflix documentary Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On. The controversial documentary about the adult industry was harshly criticized by many of the webcam performers featured in the series over alleged privacy violations and ethical issues by the producers. FSC has assisted affected performers, worked to increase press visibility for their concerns, and led a sustained campaign to educate the documentary producers about performer issues.
“The Free Speech Coalition is an important advocate for our industry, and we’re glad to be able to support the work they do,” says Mugur Frunzetti, CEO of Studio 20. “As our business has grown and become international, we’ve become more aware of the challenges that have faced us as an industry. We appreciate the FSC’s work not only on behalf of our industry, but also its ability to connect us with partners and vendors in an increasingly diverse and disparate industry.”
