Stripchat to Double Payouts for “Porn Performers Who Cam”
Adult cam platform Stripchat announced today that it will offer “double payouts to porn stars who stream from Stripchat.com,” part of a larger effort to “assist performers who face financial challenges from the COVID-19 related work stoppage.”
“We know that many studio performers have been curious about camming, and we wanted to make it easier for them to make money on it,” said Max Bennet, Vice President of New Media at Stripchat. “We’ve released several initiatives, from double payouts to new member bonuses, like exclusive ‘Pornstars’ category on a site designed to boost them financially.”
The “Stripchat Doubles” program applies to both new and existing performers who are listed in the Pornstars section on xHamster, the company said. Stripchat will give double payouts “up to the first $5000 earned by a performer on its platform from now until May 5.” Bennet added that if the program proves successful, Stripchat is “open to extending or expanding it.”
Stripchat is also providing new fans to the site with 320 free tokens, which the company said is “enough for a private session with their favorite porn star.”
“Hence, performers who haven’t cammed before or vice versa, have the potential to generate immediate income with fans eager to ‘meet’ them in private,” the company stated in a press release announcing the increased payout.
“Performers with a significant following have better opportunities to make a lot of money in a short period of time, even if they haven’t been successful at camming in the past,” Bennet said. “Cams are a different medium, for sure, so we’ve made it as easy as possible for them.”
Performers who wish to take advantage of the program need to contact Stripchat directly at pornstar@stripchat.com to have their account verified and tracked. Information on registering for verification is available at Stripchat.com/pornstars.
According to the company, the Stripchat network, which includes xHamsterLive, averages over 60 million visits each month. Stripchat also said in its announcement that traffic to the site “has surged nearly 25% in the US since the quarantine began.”
