Strip Poker as an Affiliate Marketing Tool
By Stewart Tongue
YNOT – Whoever coined the phrase “lucky in cards, unlucky in love” didn’t reckon on the invention of Naughty-Poker.com. The site offers a strip-poker game visitors may play for free. Each winning hand exposes more of a provocative model’s “naughty bits.”
“It is naughty, but it’s a tasteful and classy kind of naughtiness combined with fast-paced game play that makes Naughty Poker a thrilling experience beyond any other online strip-poker game,” said David Shiller, the Toronto-based software engineer who developed the site.
The beta version recently went live, and Shiller and his business partner, online marketer Wendy Marais, are giving the public a chance to judge Naughty-Poker.com for themselves. Players may create a free account or participate as a guest. Beta testers are asked to click the “Beta Feedback” link on the website’s homepage to submit a simple online evaluation form.
“You don’t have to be a shark to enjoy Naughty Poker,” Marais said. “Anyone, regardless of their poker skills, can play and win.”
In addition to providing a titillating diversion for bored desk jockeys, Naughty-Poker.com serves as a traffic pump for the owners’ affiliate endeavors. Links lead to live-cam websites operated by AWEmpire.
“We have a few specially selected affiliate websites that pay us for any referrals we send their way,” according to the websites FAQ. “We have chosen only quality website affiliates that we feel are in-line with the type of entertainment our game provides. We do not want to clog our pages with gaudy ads and banners, and we have no intention of charging our users for the game.
“Also, we have plans to license the software to other companies and websites to improve our income,” the statement continues. “But this will not affect any of the games currently available on Naughty Poker.”
Shiller clarified.
“The beta version is only the beginning,” he said. “Wendy and I have lots ideas for making the Naughty Poker experience even more exciting, and we want as much user feedback as possible.”
Affiliates, traffic partners, content providers and business owners who’d like to explore adding similar products to their own marketing efforts may contact Shiller and Marais via a form on the Naughty Poker website.
