Strip Club Patron Rings Up $53K Bill; Alleges Fraud
FORT WALTON BEACH, FL —A man celebrating his college graduation ran up a $53,000 bill at Club 10 and the grad’s father wants the cops to go after the club for fraud and larceny.Tommy Salter was at the strip club one night in August with friends to celebrate his graduation from Georgia Tech. According to police, Club 10 owner Tim Beal said that Salter bought at least 19 bottles of champagne priced from $150 to $2000 per bottle after telling the club he only had $600 to spend.
Beal said Salter signed a receipt for each champagne purchase and even scrawled his initials next to individual, itemized charges. However, Tommy Salter’s father, Joe Salter, said only the signature on the first receipt matches his son’s.
The sheriff’s report alleges larceny and credit card fraud. Beal says that American Express disagrees with the Salter’s claims and has decided in Club 10’s favor.
Beal added that the younger Salter appeared to know what he was doing throughout the night.
”This fellow was lucid,” Beal said to the local press. “He was actually dancing with the manager, Chris, right before he left.”
