Startup Combines Virtual World, Casual Dating
YNOT – LabelSex, a new kind of online dating platform, launched its flagship this week. According to a prepared statement, the company aims “to bring the dating industry to its next level with some new and exciting additions to the regular dating-site model.”
Chief among those “new and exciting additions” is the incorporation of a fully realized virtual world in which members may interact and get to know each other before committing to anything in the real world. The concept is unique, and it is expected to draw young, tech-savvy users worldwide by offering the ability to combine virtual reality — currently one of the hot areas in tech development — with real-life encounters.
To lead the pursuit, the company tapped multi-faceted adult online industry veteran Yuval Kijel as chief executive officer. Most recently, Kijel helmed the webcams and dating divisions of affiliate powerhouse PussyCash for six years before leaving the company in mid-2012.
Kijel also will ramrod operations at LabelSex’s sister site, the more traditional casual-dating destination LabelDate.com.
“I’m proud to lead these sites and be part be part of this group that has showed remarkable success in various industry platforms,” Kijel said. “We put a lot of time and energy and original thinking into making LabelSex the next level of dating.
“[The dating] industry hasn’t changed much over the past years, and we believe the additions we make will bring it to a new place,” he continued. “We saw great feedback from beta-testers, and we’re convinced it will not be long before the site stands in the front line of dating sites in the industry.”
Kijel said the program’s development process was extensive and time-consuming, mostly because developers were determined to produce what Kijel called “a super-equipped dating platform.” LabelSex offers worldwide profiles, searchable via an advanced algorithm that allows users to make matches based on a plethora of criteria.
The virtual world aspect is attracting the most attention, though. As Kijel explained the concept, LabelSex allows users to interact via customized avatars, using the website as both icebreaker and relationship-enhancer. The virtual world features recreations of major cities around the globe, with shops, bars and clubs where members may hang out. Much like Second Life, LabelSex enables members to purchase clothing and accessories for their avatars or gift those items to the avatars of others.
In addition, the site provides an e-commerce store through which members may purchase physical products and have them shipped to friends in the real world.
“The site is so advanced with new features that it’s amazing,” Lumina said. “Affiliates will enjoy a cutting edge affiliate program with a wide variety of promo tools and advanced stats.”
The LabelSex affiliate program pays up to $100 per join, as much as 75-percent recurring revenue share or up to $10 per lead.
