Stagliano’s Erotic Vampire Epic to Release as Webisodes
YNOT – Award-winning director John Stagliano, in cooperation with affiliate program FameDollars, will release his latest adult feature film in a non-traditional way: as a series of webisodes on his studio’s website.
Voracious, shot on location in Budapest, will debut Feb. 14 with subsequent episodes streaming on EvilAngel.com at a rate of one per month thereafter. The movie may be released in downloadable format in the future.
The high-end erotica series plays with vampire mythology and features popular adult performers Brooklyn Lee and Manuel Ferrara in leading roles. Lea Lexis and Rocco Siffredi are among the supporting players. Actor-director Omar Galanti is featured as the lustful vampire Dracu.
“This movie came together when I got Brooklyn Lee and Lea Lexis to co-write the scenes with me,” Stagliano said. “The vampire lore makes for good erotica, and I wanted to do another feature film like Fashionistas.”
The Fashionistas, released in 2002, was an ambitious, high-budget production shot on 35mm film. At more than four hours in length, the project won the 2003 AVN Award for Best Film, plus 18 other AVN and XRCO awards in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
Stagliano believes Voracious can repeat its ideological predecessor’s success, and releasing the film in webisodes will make it accessible to a wider audience.
“The incredible thing about vampire movies is that you can make up rules about what vampires can and cannot do,” he said. “My hope is that Voracious will be a long-running series, so Voracious 2 can one day be a reality.”
FameDollars Director of Product and Development Magalie Rheault said Voracious ranks among Stagliano’s best work to date.
“This very exclusive feature highlights John’s evolution as a filmmaker,” she said. “Fashionista Safado was a success [when released online], and we anticipate Voracious will be no different.
“We’ve made sure that promoting this series will run as smoothly as possible, so all of our marketing channels are ready to boost exposure,” Rheault added. “We are excited to know that exclusives like Voracious will really benefit how our affiliates convert.”
A special Voracious tab has been added to EvilAngel.com’s free tour and members area. Promotional tools may be found here.
