Sssh.com To Have Product Placement in Mainstream Series “The Big Time”
The award-winning adult content of Sssh.com will play a role in The Big Time, the upcoming mainstream comedy series starring and executive produced by Maitland Ward.
“Sssh content will be included in the series by way of a creative bit of product placement,” says Sssh founder Angie Rowntree. “Fans will be able to spot our movie posters, DVDs and other items, contributing a bit of real-world authenticity to the fun fiction of The Big Time.”
On The Big Time, Ward will play a world-famous adult performer working for a studio that’s “on the brink of collapse.” The show’s producers describe the series as a “lighthearted” comedy. In talking about the role, Ward said she was excited by the prospect of playing a strong female character – and the opportunity to promote sex-positivity in a mainstream context.
Ward’s desire to promote sex positivity is one that resonates strongly with Rowntree, who, as an adult filmmaker, has spent the last 22 years working towards the same endeavor.
“When the adult film industry is depicted in mainstream entertainment, all too often what you see is an outdated and often negative stereotypical view of the industry,” Rowntree said. “I’m thrilled at the prospect of contributing content to a show that bucks that tradition and brings people a lighter, brighter view that’s more consistent with the modern reality of the adult industry.”
“Once I signed on to executive produce and co-write The Big Time, I knew that we needed to build this world with the people that know it best.” says Rob Alicea. “Enter Maitland Ward, Isiah Maxwell, and sponsorship partners, Sssh.com and Coco Bliss. From the jump, they knew and understood what the show was trying to accomplish, and it was not only a mission they could get behind, but one that drives them personally and professionally. Coming from an advertising and branded content background, it was an exciting opportunity to introduce and integrate these brand partners in a fresh, unexpected, and, most importantly, fun way. After all, we’re making a comedy here.”
