BOSTON, MA — Sssh.com, an erotic website created by women for women, is celebrating its eighth anniversary with a facelift and a bevy of new features.Known as the “X-Rated Cosmo,” Sssh.com caters to female sexuality by bypassing the taboo of porn in favor of an interactive, engaging and erotic experience that elicits a common response from its members: “It didn’t make me feel dirty.”

Sssh.com kept all of that in mind when designers created the site’s new tour, which Editor-in-Chief Skye O’Donovan said is even more responsive to the needs of members.

“Our goal was to create a place that had everything we ourselves as women wanted in a membership site,” O’Donovan said. “We wanted to provide a sex-positive environment for women that otherwise is very difficult to find.”

Among additions to the site are new features like “Ask a Man,” where members can interact with the men of their dreams; sexy “how-to” videos that give the straight scoop on all sorts of erotic adventures; high-definition movies and photo galleries that cater to female fantasies; columns written by sex therapists; weight-loss tips and tricks; a section erotica for couples, and even what Sssh.com believes is the Web’s first erotic soap opera.

Sssh.com’s affiliate program, SpiceCash.com, has added goodies for webmasters, too. After a complete overhaul, SpiceCash sports a new look of its own and now offers webmaster tools like RSS feeds, embeddable Flash videos with a click-to-tour player and Flash galleries. According to owner Colin Rowntree, a 14-year veteran of the adult online industry, SpiceCash’s sites offer conversion and retention ratios not seen since the late 1990s.

Sssh.com affiliates receive a 50-percent revshare on every sale for the lifetime of the member (including rebills). Affiliates who send more then 30 new sales in one month receive 60-percent commissions for that month. Instead of revshares, affiliates may choose a one-time payout of $20 for every member they send, with a bump to $25 per signup in any pay period during which they send 100 or more sales.

A webmaster-referral plan pays a 10-percent override on the sales of all referred affiliates.
