SmartPay Backs Pineapple Support as Supporter-Level Sponsor
Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support announced it is pleased to welcome SmartPay as a supporter-level sponsor of the organization. In coming on as a sponsor, the cryptocurrency platform joins over sixty adult businesses and organizations in committing funds and resources to Pineapple Support.
“SmartPay is thrilled to have the opportunity to support such an incredible organization,” the SmartPay Executive Team said in a statement. “There would not be a thriving adult industry without services such as Pineapple Support. We appreciate the opportunity Leya Tanit has provided us to support the initiative.”
Tanit said she’s “very grateful to the SmartPay team for the support they are providing to performers around the world.”
“Contributions like theirs help us to provide accessible and stigma-free mental healthcare and support to any performer that needs it,” Tanit said.
June has been a productive month for Pineapple Support in terms of adding sponsors, with GridFlicks coming aboard just last week as a supporter-level sponsor and Grooby signing on as partner-level sponsor just days earlier.
“I am impressed with the progress Pineapple Support has made over the last few years and seeing how dedicated their staff were at the recent shows,” Steven Grooby, owner and founder of Grooby said at the time. “We are very involved in mental health and welfare as a company and we’re happy to help support Pineapple to have a wider reach into all the areas of the industry.”
Founded by Tanit in 2018 after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States. The organization reports that it has so far connected over 10,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling, and emotional support.
