CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Adult film director Ray Dark and producer-creator Thomas, the team behind the Amateur Allure subscription website, have launched something new: Swallow Salon.

Dark is a perennial AVN Awards darling, having received a Best Web Director nod for three years running (2014-2016). The new site launched with a Dark-directed scene nominated in 2016’s Best Oral Sex Scene category. Starring Marley Brinx, the video is one of 40 shot specifically for Swallow Salon and already available on the site.

Scenes on Swallow Salon have a somewhat unusual-for-adult atmosphere. The site’s creators say the look has roots in mainstream cult filmmaking. Feedback from fans of the Swallow Salon site indicates the project has a completely original vibe.

“I love sci-fi and Japanese porn, and Thomas and I are huge Stanley Kubrick fans,” Dark said. “When we were originally kicking around ideas, the [Los Angeles] County Art Museum was running this awesome Kubrick exhibit. Later that summer, we produced a mainstream sci-fi pilot called Cowboys and Engines, and we got to work with the great Malcolm McDowell. Those experiences got us thinking: If Kubrick were to direct a porn site, what might it look like?

“We decided to take Swallow Salon in a more artistic direction,” Dark continued. “We wanted to create something that looked and felt unique. The image is very magical and dreamlike. It’s what gives Swallow Salon its signature look.”

The site provides viewers with blowjob and sex scenes featuring beautiful girls in tight, skimpy uniforms under the swirling glow of colorful, futuristic lights. Besides Marley Brinx, visitors will find scenes starring performers including Aidra Fox, Riley Reid, Remy LaCroix, Yhivi, Whitney Westgate, Penny Pax, Lyla Dean, Nina North and Bailey Bae.

“People are digging it,” Dark said. “We’re already getting strange requests from our members. Girls have been hitting me up, saying they’ve been seeing all this beautiful new content coming from us and they want to be a part of it. I think the models that I’ve shot really enjoy being a part of something this unique and cool. It’s really exciting.”
