Site Certification in Five Languages
COMMACK, NY – In a global economy, it’s important that consumers and potential business partners are able to interact with websites in the language that is most comfortable for them. Multi-lingual capabilities are important across the board, but never more so than on join and purchase pages. Sales are better when everything having to do with money is easy for any consumer anywhere to comprehend.
That’s why independent website security organization Website Secure now makes its security certificates available in five languages — English, French, German, Italian and Spanish — at the click of a button.
“As emerging markets continue to increase their influence on the success of commercial websites globally, having each site certification available in more languages makes good sense,” said Stewart Tongue of Website Secure. “We take the feedback of our customers and the millions of consumers who utilize [the service] to find ethical sites online very seriously. As additional languages become prominent, we will add new translations to accommodate everyone in their own native tongue.”
In order to display a Website Secure seal, sites must pass a rigorous ethics inspection. Inspections may include detailed reviews of terms and conditions, cancellation policies and privacy policies in addition to “test joins” that ensure consumers are treated fairly during all interactions. Unlike other trust seals that focus on scanning for viruses or preventing third parties from engaging in nefarious behavior, Website Secure certifies that sites meet standards for customer treatment and business ethics.
Website Secure seals have received more than 1.7 billion views across hundreds of sites in a variety of mainstream and adult markets, according to Tongue.
“It has been said many times that there is no such thing as a completely air-tight method of monitoring all activities of a website with absolute certainty,” he noted. “While there is certainly some truth to that, highlighting the ethical brands who voluntarily have their sites inspected and relying on a combination of automated and manual techniques to exclude bad actors is allowing Website Secure and the brands we certify to continue making an important difference.”
The certifications underlying the seals were translated by TranslationsXXX.
“We were obviously pleased to be a part of this project,” said Colin of TranslationsXXX. “Working with a prestigious brand like Website Secure also makes it clear that we agree with the basic philosophy involved — that good companies and consumers ought to be banding together to deal in fair value as part of an ethical purchasing experience online.”
