SiN2.0 Releases Cybernet Expo Seminar Podcasts
SAN JOSE, CA — Social media website SiN2.0 is giving travel-challenged webmasters a leg up on their continuing-education efforts: Those who can’t attend adult industry trade shows in person still can reap the benefits of the seminars by tuning into podcasts at the SiN2.0 site.“In today’s economy, not everyone can afford plane fare, expensive hotels and registration fees to attend the all-so-frequent adult industry trade shows,” Podcast Producer Abby Ocana said. “With that in mind, SiN2.0, known for its industry podcasts, is bringing the seminars to the masses.”
The process began with a “state-of-the-industry” trade show in Los Angeles earlier this year, according to SiN2.0 owner and “chief sinner” Jason “J-SiN” Hart. Since then the company has recorded the most relevant educational offerings from Cybernet Expo, the XBiz Summer Forum and InterNEXT Summer. All can be found at SiN20.com/podcast.
“The podcasts are a way to give back to the greater community of online adult industry professionals who aren’t able to make it to the seminars at these shows for whatever reason,” J-SiN said. “We edit down each podcast to just the most relevant talking points and distill the important information from each panel.”
The first Cybernet Expo seminar, “Marketing Personalities with Social Networking Tools,” went live on the website earlier this week and was broadcast as part of Radio Dentata’s “Webmaster Wednesday” programming lineup. Other Cybernet Expo seminar podcasts will be available in the coming weeks, including “Understanding Fetish and Niche Markets” on August 24th and “The State of the Industry” on September 7th.
The educational podcasts are available for individual download or by subscription, free of charge.
“Response to the podcasts has been huge,” J-SiN said. “Our more popular podcasts have had over 1,500 unique listens, and since we are now syndicated on Radio Dentata’s Webmaster Wednesday, we have hundreds of targeted industry listeners every week, and hundreds more hitting the archives every month. We seem to have made the biggest splash with professionals with one to two years of experience in the industry.”
J-SiN said SiN2.0 would enjoy working with other trade shows to make their educational offerings available, as well.
“We try to cover all sizable shows with seminars and panel presentations,” he said. “We would love to work with any B2B shows which have these types of instructional, informational presentations to benefit the wider community of adult webmasters and online adult industry professionals.”
Trade show hosts who would like to discuss coverage with SiN2.0 may contact either J-SiN or Ocana by email (jbh@northstar-productions.com or abby@northstar-productions.com, respectively). The next show on the staff’s schedule is InterNEXT Las Vegas in January 2010.
