CALGARY, Canada – The frigid “polar vortex” that recently swept down from Canada and froze the U.S. is now history. In its place is a human heat wave in the form of Shanda Fay, a Canadian MILF amateur who recently re-launched her website as part of the Vette Nation Army.

YNOT.com: When and why did you get into porn?

Shanda Fay: It really started when I was younger and stumbled upon my dad’s Playboy. I fell in love with the beauty of the women. At that age I wasn’t running around telling everyone I want to be a naked girl in pictures, but it sure set a spark off somewhere inside me.

Being sexy was definitely something I desired. But how does one make a career out of that? I was always wondering.

I grew up and found the man in my life. I was 19; he was 29 and way more experienced. He would take pictures of me during sex, and that did it for me. I was hooked on being watched, getting dressed up in sexy lingerie and having sex.

We continued our lifestyle every weekend, visiting different sex shops and him shooting pics, until one day I ran into a real photographer friend. You’ve just done a major site redesign. Why?

I have been online with my site for 13 years. Formerly known as FilthyCuteOnline.com, the site got a brand new look in November 2013, and I changed the name to make it easier for everyone. ShandaFay.com is the new site.

I believe any site needs remodelling every few years to keep things looking fresh and up-to-date. The ever-changing world of technology and so many girls on the web mean you have to keep your site interesting, appealing and easy on the eyes.

This new design was a major project and took almost a year to finally be displayed. There were many hands involved. Vicky Vette was a major part it. I am so proud of [the new design]. I love the whole look and feel of it. It’s the best one I have ever had.

You play up your Canadian roots on your site. Why?

I am Canadian, eh? So why not let the world know?

There are so many who adore us Canucks, and I am proud of where I am from. When I am live with my members, someone always mentions how much they like my accent. “What accent?” I ask, and they say “your Canadian one.” I still don’t think I have an accent, but when you’re from a different country, I guess we do.

I started going to the Taboo Sex Shows we have in Canada, and over the years I have really watched it grow. I am so glad to see Canada opening up so much more. The show we had in our city was three times bigger than the [Los Angeles] show, but we didn’t have the porn stars like L.A. has. I am trying to convince Vicky Vette to come [for the next one].

You bill yourself as a strap-on specialist. Is this an area of the market that has been overlooked?

There are many things I do on my site, but I am so glad you asked about this extremely touchy, taboo subject: strap-ons. Pegging is the actual term I use. This is an area of the straight market that has definitely been overlooked, under-discussed and frowned upon by many who don’t understand it.

Over the years, I have often wondered if it was worth it to continue this fetish, given the negative feedback I get from guys. But I have been with my boyfriend for 20 years, and you know, when you have been with someone that long and you have that amazing trust in place, things happen.

Still, the idea of going to shoot and fuck someone so that I can potentially become more of a porn star and getting paid such little money for a video that gets sold to many people over and over again, but I get paid for it only once? As a businesswoman, that makes no sense to me.

I would love to shoot with some of the stars, for sure — especially the VNA girls — but that type of videos would just go on the site, not on the shelf for sale.

Porn stars with the beautiful sets will always be around, and every guy will always have their favorite, but I truly believe the men out there watching want women they can maybe imagine themselves being with: the kind of woman who lives next door or the girl they saw walking down the street.

I also feel that in the L.A. porn scene, one minute you’re in and the next you’re out. If you’re over 20, they call you a MILF! I don’t even have kids and I am in that category.

With my site, I get to do everything exactly the way I intend my fans to see me. I don’t have to worry about any of the issues that come up on a set. When you see my work, I am actually turned on and really expressing how horny I am, not acting or faking. I am not saying anyone else is faking, but in a set environment things are so different.

What were your best and worst scenes to date?

My best scene? That’s a good question, because I really do have many that I enjoyed shooting. There is one that stands out for me because I have such a huge fantasy to have two men DP me.
