Shameless Sex Podcast Asks Listeners to Get Real During COVID-19
Los Angeles, CA — “Shameless Sex” podcast hosts April Lampert and Amy Baldwin are checking in with their loyal listeners. They’re asking “How are you REALLY doing?” during the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
“We are trying something new over here at Shameless Sex… We are inviting people to share what they are going through during social isolation, with the understanding that a lot of folks are feeling really alone right now,” said Lampert. “Not just the basic ‘I’m fine’ or ‘this is hard, but it’s okay’ — we really want to know how people are doing.”
Lampert noted that, “We usually don’t have time to respond to every email that comes our way, but we decided that it’s important to not only give our listeners a voice, but to offer them loving support as best as we can.”
“Many are sharing what they are REALLY feeling during isolation: aloneness, stress, fear, relationship struggles, parenting challenges… it has been so beautiful to see the impact that a simple connection can make. Even though we’ve never met these people, we are still connecting with one another in a much needed way,” she added.
Baldwin stated that “We are all going through a collective hardship together. While we need to isolate our physical bodies for safety reasons, we can still share and connect our emotional experiences virtually.
“We can continue to help people feel supported and cared for from afar, and we encourage everyone else to do the same,” Baldwind said, adding that they are encouraging other to start asking their clients, customers, friends and family how they are really doing?
