SegPay Goes Mobile
YNOT – SegPay, a provider of internet payment processing services for the adult entertainment industry, has moved into the mobile application space thanks to a partnership with adult app market MiKandi.
MiKandi users now can purchase apps with SegPay’s new “simple click” feature for digital purchases. To use the system, consumers purchase token packages and then apply the tokens to the price of the items they wish to download from the MiKandi store. Multiple apps can be purchased with a single SegPay checkout.
“Our partnership with MiKandi is SegPay’s first foray into a mobile application storefront,” said SegPay President and Chief Executive Officer Cathy Beardsley. “There is tremendous potential for developers in the mobile space. By partnering with MiKandi, we position SegPay and our customers to benefit from new revenue streams.”
More than 100 million people in the U.S. use smart phones, according to the most recent comScore MobiLens report. The number of smart phone users has risen consistently over the past few years, as standard mobile phone users trade up to devices with higher functionality. This provides web developers with new opportunities for growth.
“Working with SegPay has been fantastic,” said Jesse Adams, CEO of MiKandi, which enables companies and independent developers to market, monetize and deliver mobile apps to more than 2 million consumers. “They’re responsive, and they make it easier for our customers to pay for the apps and videos they want. We’re already seeing benefits from working with them.”
