Segpay “Guarantees Merchants Business Continuity” During COVID-19 Pandemic
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Online payment processing provider Segpay announced today that it is executing a “business continuity plan in the wake of the growing Coronavirus pandemic.” According to the company, the plan “guarantees uninterrupted payment processing services for Segpay merchants who can rest assured that Segpay’s system will remain stable and reliable as the current situation unfolds.”
Segpay CEO Cathy Beardsley said the company has “always had a business continuity plan in place for emergencies such as this.”
“Our plan has been tested on multiple occasions and was designed to guarantee uninterrupted payment processing services for our merchants,” Beardsley said. “The plan is working just as it should.”
Segpay added that it “has offices and outposts around the world,” and that its “production environment is remote with back up/failover facilities and can be accessed virtually from any location.”
“Segpay puts the safety of its employees first and if it becomes a risk, every team member is 100% capable of working remotely as part of standard operating procedures in the event it becomes necessary,” the company added in its announcement.
“Segpay’s merchant and consumer support teams can and will maintain all current client service level agreements. Segpay is also offering free advice to merchants who need to develop their own business continuity plans.”
