Segpay Announces 22 Percent YoY Growth
Segpay, the digital payment processing company, announced that it had a stellar year-end earnings report finishing up 2022 with 22% in overall growth, resulting in the best year yet for the company in monthly transactions volume.
Segpay stated that its continued growth was driven by its commitment to the future. In 2022 the company made a significant investment of more than a million dollars to add innovative solutions, staff, and software. Segpay also expanded its offerings by adding PayPal as a payment option for its U.S. merchants, Segcard, a pay-out solution designed for content creators, and doubled the size of its operations in Ireland. Segpay and its CEO, Cathy Beardsley received several awards in 2022 including being named as one of Forbes “50 over 50”, one of American Banker’s Most Influential Women in Payments, and one of the Top Women-led Businesses in Florida.

Among Segpay’s other accomplishments in 2022:
- Launched its new animated video marketing campaign featuring two “spokescharacters” in a series of animated videos created to help demystify payment processing and to assist the Segpay team in growing the company’s base of online merchants.
- Added ThreatX as an additional layer of security to its fraud mitigation system to provide insights on potential threats before they have a negative impact to the Segpay system.
- Implemented an automated dispute management system which monitors both Verifi and Ethoca chargeback alerts and dispute and fraud notices; mitigating each instance to help prevent chargebacks.
- Improved website SEO and significantly drove website traffic with a 72% increase in users, a 75% increase in sessions, and a 97% increase in pageviews.
- Launched an updated technical documentation portal to help merchants get insights on Segpay’s software, portals, systems and more.
- Grew the Segpay employee base in South Florida with a focus on its development staff.
- Expanded operations in the UK and in its EU headquarters in Ireland, doubling the staff.
