Science Explains: Why Chicks Dig the Sound of Sports Cars
MODERN WORLD — If the results of a recent study are true, women who spend time in the world of NASCAR may be some of the most sexually fulfilled women on the planet!According to a recent study commissioned by auto insurer Hiscox and focusing on a small but apparently horny group of men women, the sounds of a Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini turned women on by giving them an impressive boost of testosterone – a hormone intimately involved in the process of sexual arousal.
Although the researchers only studied the responses of 40 people exposed to dulcet sounds of three luxury cars and a far less exciting VW Polo, their conclusions are thought-provoking.
Perhaps all those short, bald men with penis compensation issues and shiny sports cars have been onto something all along!
Saliva specimens taken from the study participants after they’d listened to the engine music of each car indicated that every single one of the women involved experienced “significant peaks” in their testosterone production when the sports cars revved their engines. The sound of the economy car dropped those levels promptly.
By comparison, a mere half of all men involved with the study experienced an adrenaline surge after listening to the Maserati, although 60-percent got a testosterone thrill from the Lamborghini.
Psychologist David Moxon doesn’t have much encouragement for those driving practical vehicles when he observes that “The roar of a luxury car engine does cause a primeval physiological response” in women, whereas the sounds of a normal car sadly leads to a measurably decreased level of testosterone and, theoretically, a decreased level of interest in being sexual with its driver.
Perhaps the environmentally and economically prudent solution is a gas-conscious vehicle with a high end stereo featuring the sounds of sexier cars?
